About the George Washington Bridge
The historic, double-decked suspension George Washington Bridge connects New York and New Jersey. Completed in 1931, it once held the distinction of being the world’s largest suspension bridge. Now, it handles over 100 million vehicles each year, which makes it one of the world’s busiest bridges.
As a famous NYC landmark, it stands as an important symbol of achievement in engineering. Seeing this bridge from any vantage point is worthwhile, but getting to go beneath the bridge provides the most dramatic views. You’ll be completely awed as you get a look at this icon’s structure. Don’t forget to get one of our deckhands to take some pictures!
