About Yankee Stadium
The new Yankee Stadium first opened in 2009 as a replacement for The House That Ruth Built. Its design mimics the original Yankee Stadium in many ways, including the trademark frieze and exterior. As a modern stadium, though, it also features current amenities and larger spaces.
In addition to providing a home for the New York Yankees, it also serves as home field for Major League Soccer’s New York City FC. Additionally, it hosts events such as concerts, college football games, and major celebrations.
When it first opened, many fans dubbed it The House That Jeter Built, but others prefer The House That George Built. Either way, the stadium can be viewed from the Harlem River just after the Macombs Dam Bridge. The Yankees moved across the street from their new home, and the original stadium’s site has been converted into Heritage Field.
How the Cruise Works
Your NYC hot tub cruise begins just across the border in Jersey City. Our meeting point is the Liberty Landing Marina. Once everyone is on board, we’ll head off on the Hudson River before going North on the Harlem River. During the cruise, you’ll pass by several scenic waterways and well-known attractions enroute to Yankee Stadium.
A few highlights of the hot tub tour of NYC include:
- A 90-minute private cruise
- Flexible departure times
- Game day, sunset, or evening light show options
- Great for sports fans, birthdays, or bachelor/bachelorette parties
Planning Your Cruise
It’s vital to arrive for your cruise 30 minutes before its scheduled departure. Also, make sure you bring swimwear, a towel, and sandals with you, along with sunglasses, ball caps, and portable coolers.
There are a variety of ways to reach Liberty Landing Marina. Public transportation is easiest, though. For subway access, take the PATH train. Light Rail access is provided by HLR. To take a bus, hop on the 1, 16, 80, 81, or 86. Finally, you can reach Liberty Landing Marina by taking the ferry to Liberty Harbor.
If you decide to drive, you’ll find several places to park. If the Liberty Landing Marina lot is full, there are three other options within half a mile:
- 198 Van Vorst St. Garage (valet)
- 155 Montgomery St. Lot
- 129 Montgomery St. Garage
Grabbing a bite to eat is as easy as going to The Feathered Fox, which is located in the same building as Sea the City. Alternatively, walk between eight and 15 minutes to one of the following locations:
- Bobwhite Counter
- White Star Warren Street
- Satis Bistro
